【World Setting of "Magical Artist"】
In a fading old city called Riverport, once flowed rich craftsmanship and vibrant folk life. From the painting studios on street corners, the old doll shops, to the candy wrapper artists at the end of alleys, the entire city was a living work of art.
But as modern industry and commercial civilization swept in, old skills and memories were quickly forgotten. Those objects carrying emotions and history were discarded, faded away, or dismissed as "outdated things."
The soul of the city was disappearing.
Protagonists: Milo and Bean
You play as Milo Rune, a street kid who has relied on his younger brother, Bean, since childhood. Together, you make a living by selling street food, navigating the busiest yet most overlooked parts of the
city—Downtown.
Milo possesses a unique ability: he can hear the emotions and memories left behind by old objects.
Whether it's the fear of a broken piece of porcelain, the laughter in an old painting, or the loneliness of a worn-out doll, he can "hear" them all. But initially, this ability was seen as nothing more than his "wild imagination."
Until one day, a drunk passerby harassed their stall, and the brothers were nearly caught in the chaos. An elderly artisan named Elias happened to pass by and came to their rescue. Recognizing Milo's special perception, Elias invited him to his workshop, beginning a magical journey.
Downtown: From Street Vendors to Artisans
Under Elias's guidance, Milo began learning various old crafts:
Using delicate brushstrokes to restore worn paper paintings;
Using colored clay and fabric scraps to reshape lost hand puppets;
Understanding the value of objects through "emotions" rather than "price."
He discovered that these skills were not just means of survival but magic that could make the city breathe again. With every completed work and every restored workshop, a part of the city would regain its light—old streets lit up, children returned to play, and people who had forgotten how to smile began to speak.
Thus, he set up a "mobile workshop" in Downtown, traveling through streets and alleys, taking orders and fulfilling wishes, gradually gathering like-minded artisans:
Sera, a mysterious painter skilled in awakening forgotten memories;
Tock, an inventor who loves creating miracles from discarded materials;
Madam Bell, a former theater technician who ca n embed emotions into mechanical dolls.
They gathered around Milo like puzzle pieces, each continuing a legacy of craftsmanship and telling a part of the city's story.
Growth and Goal: Saving the City Through Art
Milo was no longer just a "street vendor kid" but a Magical Artist with a mission.
